David Kelley

A graduate of the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, David Kelley joined Poole & Poole Architecture in 2003 and was named an associate in 2005.

As a project manager, it is his responsibility to maintain the technical accuracy of a project from inception to completion. This includes meticulous project management, development of documents and drawings, coordination of project engineers and other consultants and on site construction administration.

David feels strongly that in addition to his professional responsibilities, it is his obligation to mentor and grow other aspiring architects.

The foundation of David’s design philosophy is how to make a building work efficiently while maintaining its intrinsic design intent. With this in mind, he believes that in order to achieve the perfect marriage of function, structural integrity and beauty, an architect must fully understand how a structure is built.
