SteelHouse

Written by

SteelHouse is an iconic, new rental community helping to anchor the downtown Orlando neighborhood at North Orange and Colonial Drive. It strikes a the perfect balance between luxury and convenience offering direct access to Orlando's Urban Trail and is within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, cultural entertainment, and nightlife.

The target market is young professionals who want want the “green” benefits of a live/work urban lifestyle without sacrificing style or after hours socializing. To that end, SteelHouse offers resort-style community amenities that encourage socializing ranging from a luxurious salt water pool with aqua deck, poolside fire pit and grill terrace, a state-of-the-art “Iron Man” fitness center, an eclectic and colorful art gallery, and a top-floor lounge where one can view the downtown Orlando skyline. While the project's forward architecture emphasizes modernity, its traditional materials of stone, brick, siding and steel are combined to seamlessly integrate it between its modern and traditional neighbors. The project features roomy 1 and 2 bedroom floor plans which offer 9 to 14 foot ceilings, storefront windows, low-e windows, quartz and granite countertops, streamlined floating vanities, plenty of closet space, and washer/dryer appliances.

SteelHouse has generated much excitement with Orlando's young professionals. Its program to allow first renters to pick from several finish packages for their unit has been wildly successful. As a brand new community, it has achieved fast lease-up before the building was completed, renting well beyond expectations. The developer expects it to be their best renting project ever.

The project has been recognized for its innovative design winning a 2013 South East Builder's Conference Aurora Award and chosen as a Pillars Award Finalist by the National Association of Home Builders.
